The point of the project: to make from one subject ("scene") as many photographs ("seens") as possible. The scene is a neon sign off Times Square, as garish as it is forgettable. To qualify for the portfolio, images of it had to 1) be not obviously *of* the sign, 2) differ "significantly" from each other, and 3) have enough striking, suggestive structure to stand on their own. Technique: multiple exposures in camera, using various modes of combination to produce the results that you see here.
